An interesting and complicated story in the NYTimes today about a housing proposal in E. Jerusalem. Does anybody know what's really happening? Is it really the 'mini-Tuscany' as claimed (!) or a mere effort to densify and stratify?

Under international law any
Under international law any settlement of occupied land or resettlement of occupied population is illegal. This move is a land-grab by Israel, pure and simple. The area is quite important from a cultural heritage perspective and has historically been Arab like rest of East Jerusalem. The move is simply to apply a pincer from two directions and Judaise the area population.
